Porchetta is a traditional boneless pork roast. The herb-filled meat is roasted for hours over wood: the result is a savory sandwich like nothing you’ve ever tasted. Made all over central Italy, porchetta is a local staple in the little village of Grutti, where the Natalizi family has been producing it since 1966. The family is happy to show you how porchetta is made – and to let you taste their products, straight out the oven.
Umbria is renowned for its olive oil. At the olive oil mill managed by the Silvestri family you’ll get the chance to taste new products and enjoy all the flavors of our ancient milling tradition. A guided tour will show you the secrets of extra virgin olive oil (evoo) production. Don’t forget to taste the Silvestri’s traditional, home made cookies!
